Deadline: Projects submission will be open from March 4th at 8:00 PM and must be submitted by 8:00 AM on Sunday, March 5th. If it’s in at 8:01 AM, the system will not let you submit it.
Judging is based on a single track and split across these four categories:
First round: Combination of 1min 30-sec pitch + table on #BUIDL floor.
Can bring as many slides as you think you can get through in that time (1-2)
Can practice pitch on Sunday morning (5th March)
The team will be assigned to present on the Track stage you submitted to. The entire team must be present on stage, even if only one person on your team is doing the presentation.
New to this year, your presentation will be more like a pitch.
1:30 – one minute and 30 seconds presentation :30 seconds – for the judge to ask a question (optional) :30 seconds – for the team to answer question : 30-second transition
There will be a ring, a bell, or a human informing you to stop when you reach your presentation length and question. At some stages, your microphone will be turned off to make sure no additional conversations regarding your project take place.
The Top 15 Track projects will be notified between 2:15 to 2:45 pm and invited to present their project on the main stage starting around 3:00 pm in the final round. The Top 15 projects will be decided proportionally, based on the number of submissions received from each track, with a minimum of 2 teams from each track.
NOTE: Before/After your track presentation you will be assigned a table on the #BUIDL floor so that the community can visit to learn about your project and so that interested sponsors who have qualified for your bounty submission can get an in-person demonstration.
Second round: 3 teams from each of the 5 tracks are selected = 15 teams
The Top 15 teams will be notified of their presenting order and must follow the directions of the main stage manager. Your team will be assigned to present on the main stage and your entire team must be present for check-in; even if only one person on your team is doing the presentation. Your pitch will be 2 minutes and 30 seconds and you will have up to 1 minute to answer the question the judge.
2:30 – two minutes and 30 seconds presentation 1 min – for the judge to ask a question 1 min – to answer the judge's question
There will be a ring, a bell, or a human informing you to stop when you reach your presentation length and question. At some stages, your microphone will be turned off to make sure no additional conversations regarding your project take place.
Before/After your track presentation you will be assigned a table on the #BUIDL floor so that the community can visit to learn about your project and so that interested sponsors who have qualified for your bounty submission can get an in-person demonstration.
A panel of five Celebrity Judges will listen to your presentation and ask questions before adjourning to decide the ETHDenver 2023 #BUIDLathon winners. Each Celebrity Judge will pick their favorite project.
